Greatness comes to an end for the second time! The Air Jordan 14 made their debut during Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals. The pair worn during that game instantly became known as ‘Last Shot’ as Michael Jordan hit the game-winning to capture his second three-peat, beating the Utah Jazz 87-86. The Air Jordan 14 made its retail release during the 1998-99 season designed by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith. The inspiration for the design came from MJ’s Ferrari 550M. The Air Jordan 14 marked the first time that any AJ model featured metal tips on the laces, and had 7 jumpman logos on each sneaker for a total of 14 (at the Ferrari-like shield, insole, sole, back, lace tip, and front). Another model that produced a lot of fakes, the Air Jordan 14 was first retroed in 2005.
